Spending time & energy on an essay bemoaning a specific aspect of reality tv is sort of counterproductive, after all, if reality tv is really so loathsome, why is Colson Whitehead watching so much of it? Just don’t give it any credence. The “loser edit” is a cultural nonissue to me, cuz I don’t watch reality tv.
