Ben Stiller has taken on the fashion and film worlds before, but his next directorial effort is literary. The new trailer for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, based on the 1939 James Thurber short story, is more Michel Gondry than Derek Zoolander.

    Wow, it took Ben Stiller over 20 years to figure out how to make his movies not look like garbage. I’m sure he’s going to think he deserves an award for copying Wes Anderson’s aesthetic, and I’m sure Hollywood will seriously consider it, because they also like the fascimile better than they like they original, cf. Crash winning an Acdemy Award while it’s progenitor, Magnolia, wasn’t even nominated.
