Roxane Gay rounded up a massive, crowdsourced list of writers of color. While the list is by no means exhaustive, it might be a necessary measure in proving “the world of letters is far more diverse than the publishing climate would lead us to believe.”

    I am not a man “of color”, I am a black man. Please don’t perpetuate that stupid term—it’s no different than saying “colored writers” in the passive voice.

    Michael, that’s what the list was called in the article. Perhaps your criticism would be better placed over there. That aside, the list is comprised of many, many different minorities.
